Bruno Henrique signs Flamengo extension to 2027 and targets more trophies | OneFootball

Bruno Henrique has signed a new Flamengo contract running to December 2027, extending his stay with the club.

After signing, he expressed gratitude for what he has experienced at the Mais Querido and said it is a huge honour to continue. He told Flamengo’s official channels he wants to keep bringing joy to supporters and help the team win even more.

The forward had been contracted until December 2026, but recent strong displays led the club to secure his stay despite him being 35.

Since arriving in 2019, he has played 361 games, scored 114 goals and provided 58 assists. He has lifted 18 trophies, level with Arrascaeta as the most decorated player in the club’s history.

Director of football José Boto praised his importance to the current side and highlighted his professionalism and competitiveness across 40 years in the game. He described the No 27’s energy as comparable to a much younger player and called him a daily example to team-mates aged 18 or 19.

With his new deal in place, Bruno Henrique is expected to start on Thursday against Independiente Medellín in Colombia. Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time in the Group A fourth round of the Copa Libertadores.
