Manuel Neuer has decided to extend his contract with Bayern Munich by a further year, according to Kicker.

The German outlet reports that the negotiations are “all but done” and that the 40-year-old’s extension could be announced as early as next week.

Despite occasional injury setbacks during the 2025/26 campaign, the Bayern captain reportedly remains confident that his body can handle another season.

The agreement is also expected to include a plan for second-choice goalkeeper Jonas Urbig to receive even more playing time, with the 22-year-old having made 17 appearances this season.
