Bevan stars as Dundee climb into second | OneFootball

Dundee beat Aberdeen 2-0 at Dens Park to rise from eighth to second in the Scottish Premiership.

In the ninth minute, Joe Westley steered in Joe Bevan's cross from the centre to give the hosts control.

Bevan then doubled the lead with a rising left footed finish into the top left (56.). Christopher Cadden rattled the bar as The Dons pushed to respond (64.).

Owen Goodman was sharp, tipping away a Daniel Happe header before the interval and later denying Kevin Nisbet as The Dons pressed.

Substitute Ashley Hay injected pace and forced saves after coming on, while Westley was withdrawn with an injury late on.

Dundee registered 18 attempts, seven on target. The Dons mustered nine efforts with three on target.
