Everton Cebolinha is in talks to join Santos this window. The forward is under contract at Flamengo until the end of 2026 and has already said he will not extend.

“Everton, some time ago, excluded himself from Flamengo, in the sense of not renewing the contract, which was the end of his cycle. From that moment, we made it possible for him to move on as quickly as possible, without any obstacles,” he told ESPN.

“On Monday, after the Remo match, he asked to go to Rio because one or two clubs were interested. He knows the conditions we set if it is a Brazilian club. We are waiting for final contracts to say which club he will join.”

Flamengo signed Cebolinha from Benfica in June 2022 for about €14 million, roughly R$ 88 million at the time. He has made 192 appearances, scoring 21 goals and supplying 25 assists.

Without him, Flamengo face Independiente Del Valle on Thursday 10 at 21:30 Brasília time at Estadio Olimpico Atahualpa, in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-finals.
