Brentford host Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, looking to salvage their European dreams in their final home game.
Keith Andrews wants to sign off in style at the Gtech Community Stadium after an impressive debut campaign. The Bees sit eighth in the table but have stumbled lately, losing two of their last three fixtures. They remain just two points behind seventh-placed Brighton with two matches left to play this term.
A victory today is essential to keep maximum pressure on the clubs above them in the standings. Brentford have won just five of their last thirty Premier League London derby matches during recent years.
However, two of those victories came against the Eagles, and they boast an excellent recent home record. The hosts are unbeaten in their last six home league meetings against Palace since 1957.
Keith Andrews confirmed his squad is largely identical to the group available for selection last weekend. Jordan Henderson, Vitaly Janelt, and Aaron Hickey have all trained well and provide vital options.
However, full-back Rico Henry remains sidelined with a nagging hamstring injury and will not feature. Fábio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo are also ruled out for the rest of the campaign with knee issues.
Igor Thiago is set to lead the line in an attacking unit alongside Dango Ouattara and Kevin Schade. The Brazilian striker has scored two or more goals in six different Premier League matches this season.
Mikkel Damsgaard will likely start in the number ten role ahead of Mathias Jensen and Yehor Yarmolyuk. Nathan Collins and Sepp van den Berg are expected to continue their partnership in central defence.
Brentford predicted XI: Kelleher; Kayode, Van den Berg, Collins, Lewis-Potter; Yarmolyuk, Jensen; Ouattara, Damsgaard, Schade; Thiago.
The Premier League fixture at the Gtech Community Stadium kicks off at 15:00 BST on Sunday, 17 May 2026.
