Charlton Athletic Include Option To Buy In Agreement | OneFootball

Charlton Athletic have agreed to include an option to buy in the loan agreement struck with Lincoln City for attacker Tanto Olaofe.

Olaofe joined Charlton during the summer transfer window in 2025 from League One side Stockport County for a transfer fee exceeding £1m, signing a three-year contract with the Championship side.

The attacker endured a disappointing debut season for the Addicks, contributing just two goal involvements in 22 appearances, most of them from the bench.

He was eventually sent on a loan spell in January 2026 back to Stockport County, where the 26-year-old again struggled to find form.

Having returned to Charlton following his loan spell, the striker is not part of the Addicks’ plans for the season and is set for another temporary move.

Lincoln City, who saw Olaofe at close quarters last season, are keen to add him to the ranks and have struck a loan agreement.

And, according to journalist Richard Cawley, Charlton have agreed to allow Lincoln City to hold an option to buy in the loan deal.

How much the option to buy might be set at remains to be seen.

It has been suggested that the 26-year-old striker was a subject of interest from several League One clubs, but Lincoln City’s offer was the only one Charlton accepted.

Charlton paid a significant amount to secure the signature of the attacker and will want to see him get back on track at Sincil Bank.

The Addicks have been an active side in the ongoing transfer window, as they look to build a squad capable of pushing for higher ambitions next season.

Meanwhile, Charlton are keen to cash in on Daniel Kanu with a permanent sale, but the Addicks have yet to receive an offer matching their valuation.

Kanu had an outstanding loan spell last season with League Two side Walsall, where the striker scored 15 goals in 40 league appearances.
