“Chelsea are the biggest club in London”: Morgan Rogers seals £117m move and vows “I can’t wait to get started”

Morgan Rogers has said Chelsea are the biggest club in London after signing for the Blues in a £117m club record deal.
Rogers has completed his transfer to Chelsea from Aston Villa in a deal that makes the 23-year-old the most expensive English footballer of all time.
The England international arrives at Stamford Bridge after helping England to third place at the 2026 World Cup this summer.
He has established himself as one of the most promising talents in thePremier League in recent seasons, earning the PFA Young Player of the Year in 2024/25.
Last season, he was named the Europa League Player of the Season after helping Aston Villa end a 30-year trophy drought with success in Europe.
He scored 10 goals and created six more in thePremier League last season, attracting transfer interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. Rogers said he's excited by the challenge at Chelsea, who is called the biggest club in the capital.

"For me, Chelsea are the biggest club in London and a club I've always admired since I was a kid.
