Ciryl Gane supports France in 3-1 World Cup opener victory over Senegal | OneFootball

UFC heavyweight Ciryl Gane was at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Tuesday, backing Kylian Mbappé and France as they opened their World Cup with a 3-1 win over Senegal.

L'Équipe reports that Gane travelled from Washington to the New York suburbs two days after a headline victory at UFC Freedom, staged at the White House, where he claimed the interim heavyweight belt by stopping Alex Pereira by TKO on Sunday.

Warmly greeted by the crowd and introduced by the stadium announcer, he took a lap of honour.

Gane chatted with French supporters at pitchside.

Some Senegal fans teased him, yet still congratulated him on his fresh win in the octagon.
