Corinthians staged its ninth public hearing on statute reform at the club theatre in Parque São Jorge on Monday, focusing on board restructuring, finances and internal rules.

According to Meu Timao, after 11 sessions a revised draft will go to the Deliberative Council, then the General Assembly.

The draft proposes four-year terms, thematic vice presidencies, departmental directorates and professional posts, including a market-hired CEO and a technical head for the social club at Parque São Jorge.

It sets objective appointment criteria, strengthens duties of diligence, loyalty and transparency, and introduces a minimum 30% quota for women. Corporate-card use would have clear limits and sanctions, aligning with the Lei Geral do Esporte and tighter compliance. ESG measures include sustainability reports, a Transparency Portal and a Diário Oficial do Corinthiano, with liability for breaches.

Financial controls would tighten, with expense caps linked to revenue, hiring limits in election years and automatic triggers that curb autonomy if targets are missed. A transitional fiscal regime, rules for revenue advances, stricter reporting and mandatory procurement regulations would bring sanctions for suppliers and personal liability for directors.

Council president Romeu Tuma Júnior said he wants to accelerate the redraft, as speakers pressed for technical criteria, a market CEO, fewer political posts and greater female representation, while debating titles and the role of volunteer advisers.

The final hearings will be on four February and nine February. Speakers must register via estatuto@sccorinthians.com.br at least three hours beforehand. An earlier vote set for 24 November was suspended.
