The brass at Saudi outfit Al-Nassr have set their sights on the signature of an up and coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Saudi outlet Okaz, who point towards Marc Bernal as the player in question.
Midfielder Bernal is for his part of course currently in the final stages of his recovery from a serious knee injury.
Prior to as much, in a surprise run of starts early last season, though, the 18-year-old made clear his remarkable talents.
And as alluded to above, such efforts evidently didn’t go unappreciated in the Middle East…
As per a report from MD, after landing Iñigo Martínez over the summer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr are now eyeing a deal for Bernal, too.
The Saudi transfer window remains open at present, albeit only for players under the age of 21.
Amid a search for reinforcements in the middle of the park, Al-Nassr therefore consider Bernal the ideal profile.
Any such transfer, however, has already been all but ruled out.
This comes with neither Barcelona nor the midfield starlet himself considering parting ways over the days ahead.
