Duje Caleta-Car could return to Lyon after spending this season on loan with Real Sociedad.

Despite regular minutes, including 27 La Liga appearances, Marca reports that Real Sociedad are not expected to take up their option to buy.

The centre-back joined OL in summer 2023 from Southampton and made 53 appearances across two seasons.

He moved to Real Sociedad in August 2025 on a paid loan worth 500,000 euros, with an option to buy set at 4 million euros.

Caleta-Car remains under contract with Lyon until June 2027, and a new move, either another loan or a transfer, may be sought.
