Eddie Howe ‘set to leave’ Newcastle United | OneFootball

According to Sunderland Echo, Eddie Howe is set to leave his role as Newcastle boss after close to five years at the helm.

The 48-year-old delivered the club's first major trophy for 70 years by winning the Carabao Cup in 2025, and twice qualified for the Champions League after taking over in November 2021.

Last season proved underwhelming, with Newcastle finishing 12th in the Premier League.

Their summer has also been turbulent, with Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali departing, while speculation persists over the future of captain Bruno Guimaraes.

Howe oversaw a pre-season friendly at Bristol City that ended in a 4-1 defeat on Wednesday night.
