It is now two seasons without the Premier League title for City, after Arsenal last week dethroned previous champions Liverpool.

Legendary manager Pep Guardiola has bowed out after 20 trophies over 10 years, including the FA Cup and Carabao Cup double this season.

But Haaland sees no reason City will drop off next season under their new manager, who is widely tipped to be former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca.

Haaland was addressing City fans at Co-op Live on Monday, following the trophy parade through Manchester to celebrate the men’s domestic cup double success, the Women’s Super League and FA Youth Cup triumphs.

The Premier League top goalscorer said: “It has been an up-and-down season but we are going to try to keep pushing and try to fight to win the biggest trophies we can.

“That’s what we want to win and we are fighting to win everything again. It has been a pleasure to play with Bernardo and John, and of course for Pep.

“It has been an amazing journey but we need to keep pushing and fighting even without them. Now it is time to celebrate them and they are truly legends of the club.”
