Chelsea will entertain Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Blues suffered a tough 2-1 loss versus the Villans recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in the league.

Enzo Maresca will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a couple of changes to his first XI for this game. Both Estevao and Malo Gusto could play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Robert Sanchez will function in between the sticks for the Blues after he shipped in two goals in his last league outing. Trevoh Chalobah will operate alongside Benoit Badiashile at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they look to keep a solid shape on the defensive end of the field.

Malo Gusto will fill in as the right-back, while Marc Cucurella hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Wesley Fofana and Josh Acheampong will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Moises Caicedo and Reece James will anchor the midfield for the West London giants as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineer some decent opportunities for their teammates up top.

The gifted trio of Alejandro Garnacho, Enzo Fernandez and Estevao will play just ahead of them as part of the Chelsea attack. All three of them need to combine well if the West London club are to create enough chances to secure a convincing win in midweek.

Andrey Santos, Pedro Neto and Jamie Gittens will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Joao Pedro will spearhead Maresca’s attack up top. He would be keen on finding the back of the net after getting his name on the scoresheet versus the Villans recently.

Liam Delap will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Blues are in need of a goal by then.
