Fenerbahce release Sofyan Amrabat after mutual contract termination | OneFootball

Fenerbahce have parted company with Sofyan Amrabat after his contract was terminated by mutual consent on Saturday evening.

According to Tribuna, Ajax have reached a verbal agreement to sign the Morocco international on a free transfer, with personal terms agreed, sporting director Jordi Cruyff backing the move, and paperwork now being worked through.

Amrabat joined Fenerbahce in 2024 and spent part of last season on loan at Real Betis.

His career also features spells with Fiorentina, Manchester United, Hellas Verona, Feyenoord and Utrecht, along with 69 caps for Morocco.

Should the deal be completed, he would arrive in Amsterdam as a free agent following his Fenerbahce exit.
