Fenerbahçe are preparing to open formal talks with Manchester United over Marcus Rashford after concluding negotiations for Mason Greenwood, according to Fanatik.
Club executives Cihan Kamer and Oğuz Çetin reportedly travelled directly to Manchester to start dialogue on the forward’s availability.
United are understood to be open to sanctioning the 28-year-old’s exit, as he is not in their long-term plans. Fenerbahçe aim to reach an agreement in principle with United before opening contract talks with his representatives.
Rashford is currently with England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Discussions over personal terms are expected to accelerate once his international commitments conclude.
If the numbers prove prohibitive, Fenerbahçe are monitoring Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman for the left flank. The race is competitive, with interest across Europe after a loan spell at Barcelona, where a €30 million option was not triggered.
Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with keeping tabs on the forward as he prepares to resolve his future after the World Cup.
