Diniz argued the absences were not the main reason for defeat, noting they faced Rosario in the Libertadores with similar issues and advanced. He expects players to return gradually and thinks some from the medical department could be available for the Santos match.

Corinthians return to São Paulo and have two days off. Training resumes on Wednesday to prepare for the Clássico Alvinegro next Sunday in round 25, kick-off 16:00 at Neo Química Arena.
