Filipe Luís ‘to go’ to Europe, says agent Jorge Mendes | OneFootball

Filipe Luís will continue his career in Europe, his agent Jorge Mendes has said, cooling links to Cruzeiro after Tite’s exit.

“Filipe Luís will go to Europe. He is thinking and preparing his next project,” Mendes said in an interview with GE. He added that the former Flamengo coach will travel to Europe soon to study options, so he is not planning to take a Brazilian job now.

After Cruzeiro dismissed Tite on Sunday 15, Filipe Luís emerged as a candidate for the vacancy, but the club have not had a response from him.

Cruzeiro are also assessing Artur Jorge, coach of Al Rayyan. The club aim to appoint before the next FIFA international window.

Flamengo dismissed Filipe Luís in early March after a heavy win over Madureira in the Carioca semi-final. Leonardo Jardim arrived quickly and remains unbeaten.

While Filipe Luís prepares his European trip, Flamengo face Remo on Thursday 19 in Brasileirão round seven, kick-off 20:00 Brasília at the Maracanã.
