FC Bayern is on the verge of its first major transfer coup of the summer. Final negotiations regarding Nathaniel Brown are currently underway with Eintracht Frankfurt. Signs are mounting that the German international’s transfer could be officially announced in the coming days.

The Nathaniel Brown deal is increasingly shaping up to be FC Bayern’s next major success story in the transfer market. After the Munich club reached an agreement with the player early on, talks with Eintracht Frankfurt are now in the final stages.

As Sky transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports, both clubs have made significant progress in recent days and have narrowed their differences in negotiations.

Bayern and Frankfurt are making concessions

According to reports, a total package of around 55 million euros is now taking shape. This consists of a fixed transfer fee as well as performance-based bonus payments.

Particularly noteworthy: Just a few days ago, a sum of up to 65 million euros was considered a prerequisite for a transfer. Frankfurt had internally defined this figure as their target.

Now, there appears to be movement in the talks. Both Bayern and Eintracht are said to have made concessions to make the deal possible.

However, a full agreement has not yet been reached. According to information from Sky, final talks are currently underway regarding the exact breakdown between the fixed transfer fee and variable bonus payments. This very point is currently seen as the final hurdle on the way to a deal.

Fundamentally, however, there is great confidence on both sides that the negotiations can be successfully concluded.

Even at a total of 55 million euros, Brown would break new ground.

The 22-year-old would thus become the most expensive signing of a German full-back of all time. A clear sign of the status the national team player has now attained.

At FC Bayern, Brown is viewed internally as a top-priority target. Vincent Kompany, in particular, is said to have lobbied hard for the Frankfurt player’s signing.

The timing of the deal could also be ideal. Both Bayern and Brown himself have a strong interest in resolving the future question as quickly as possible. The left-back would then like to focus entirely on the World Cup.

Therefore, it seems quite realistic that the final details will be settled before the German national team’s World Cup opener against Curaçao on Sunday.

There is therefore every reason to believe that FC Bayern will be able to officially announce its first top transfer of the summer very soon.
