Flamengo announce Bruno Henrique contract extension until 2027 | OneFootball

Flamengo announced on Monday that forward Bruno Henrique has extended his contract until the end of 2027, signing after training at Ninho do Urubu. His previous deal was due to expire in December this year.

Talks had been advanced for almost a month, with all steps cleared in recent weeks before only the signature remained. He signed alongside his wife Gisellen and their sons Lorenzo and Pietro.

Bruno Henrique said the club’s first approach moved him, described continuing as a huge honour and expressed gratitude for what he has built and for the extension. He added that he wants to keep delighting supporters and help the club win even more.

Negotiations began in late March. President Luiz Eduardo Baptista had recently made public his support for the 35-year-old staying, saying the idol should remain at the club until he retires.

His wages will remain unchanged. While his 2024 renewal placed him among the squad’s top earners, that is no longer the case. The club did not propose a pay cut, and his representatives considered a reduction unnecessary.

Bruno Henrique joined in 2019 and, wearing the number 27, has become one of Flamengo’s great modern idols. With 17 titles, he is, alongside Arrascaeta, the most decorated player in the club’s history, with 361 appearances, 114 goals and 58 assists.

Following this renewal, Flamengo now have three players whose contracts end in December 2026. Everton Cebolinha is the only one with a settled outcome and will not renew with the Rio club.
