What we learned from Mancini’s press conference today

Mancini admitted there is little time to work, with Italy set to play four competitive Nations League matches over the next two weeks. At the same time, he must quickly identify the players who can form the core of his squad for the next four years.

His first line-up will depend partly on his players’ physical condition, but Mancini stressed that he wants Italy to start winning as soon as possible while developing an exciting style of football.
