Frankfurt ‘to eye’ Thilo Kehrer, but no contact yet | OneFootball

Monaco defender Thilo Kehrer could depart before the window closes, yet there has been no contact from Frankfurt with him or his representatives to date.

In recent days, Bild has claimed the German club are interested in the player. That, though, does not preclude genuine interest.

Kehrer arrived in January 2024 and is regarded as a senior figure, although his status has often been questioned. Last season he did not begin as Adi Hütter’s first choice, then won his place and minutes.

Hütter was dismissed by Monaco at the end of 2025, and whether he would wish to reunite with his former player in his homeland remains possible.

Filipe Luis is understood to prefer Eric Dier’s profile to Kehrer’s. It remains to be seen whether concrete buyers emerge and whether either defender moves on.

Monaco’s finances are under strain and they still need sales before the market shuts on 1 September at 20:00.
