Dynamo Moscow have confirmed the signing of Ecuador international Gonzalo Plata on a four-year contract. Flamengo will receive 10 million euros from the deal.
According to Glorioso 1904, the Russians turned to Plata after Benfica winger Dodi Lukebakio rejected a lucrative approach in recent days to leave the Estádio da Luz in this summer window.
Plata leaves the Brazilian club after one season, in which he played 32 matches, scoring two goals and supplying four assists.
He also featured at the 2026 World Cup with Ecuador, making four appearances and scoring once.
The move marks the winger's return to European football. Plata previously represented Sporting from 2019 to 2022, playing 38 first-team games with four goals and four assists.
On social media, he posted a farewell message thanking Flamengo and their supporters for his time at the club.
