Grêmio ‘open talks’ over Jemerson exit | OneFootball

GZH reports that Grêmio have begun discussions over defender Jemerson’s departure as they look to accelerate a reshaping of the squad for next year.

Contacts with his agent are under way to assess the best route, with a transfer preferred but a mutual termination not ruled out.

The centre-back is viewed as a high-cost option given his salary and limited prospects of game time in the coming season.

If a termination is agreed, the parties would need to settle outstanding sums. With his contract running until December 2026, payment of part of the remaining wages and a longer instalment plan would be required.

Jemerson arrived in 2024 and has played 44 games, scoring two goals. His most recent appearance was on eight July in a 2-0 win over São José in the Recopa Gaúcha.
