FLW's Huddersfield Town fan pundit has given his verdict on owner Kevin Nagle's recent controversial social media posts.
After another underwhelming season in League One, frustration among the Huddersfield Town fanbase towards owner Kevin Nagle is increasing.
Huddersfield went into last season as one of the promotion favourites after a busy summer transfer window that saw the arrival of 14 new signings, but they parted company with manager Lee Grant in January after an inconsistent first half of the campaign, despite sitting sixth in the table at the time of his exit.
Liam Manning was appointed as Grant's replacement, but he stepped away from his role in March after being granted compassionate leave, with Martin Drury and Jon Stead taking charge until the end of the season.
Drury and Stead won two and drew four of their seven games in charge, but it was not enough to guide their side into the play-off places, with the Terriers eventually finishing the season in ninth place, eight points adrift of the top six.
After it was confirmed that Manning would not be returning to the Accu Stadium, Huddersfield named Drury as their permanent head coach last week, with Stead remaining on the coaching staff as his assistant, but the news has not gone down well with some Town supporters.
Terriers owner Kevin Nagle has been known for regularly sharing his views on social media since purchasing the club almost three years ago, and the American businessman took to X in April after a 4-1 home defeat to Mansfield Town to criticise the club's "incredibly disappointing" season and promising to "work day and night" over the summer to improve the situation.
However, Nagle has become embroiled in some confrontational exchanges with Huddersfield fans in recent weeks, particularly during the managerial search and after the appointment of Drury, and on Sunday, he hit out at one particular supporter for what he described as "repeated attacks" that have been "personal" and "vitriolic".

When asked for his thoughts on Nagle's social media activity, FLW's Huddersfield Town fan pundit Graeme Rayner admitted that he has sympathy for the Terriers chief amid the increasing criticism he is receiving, and he warned supporters to be careful not to push him into putting the club up for sale.
"I actually have a degree of sympathy for him because social media, especially X, is often very toxic," Graeme told FLW.
"Football supporters can often be very personal with the intent of just getting a reaction.
"This is a guy who has come into the club, invested money into the club and clearly wants everything to be successful because why wouldn't you want anything other than success?
"He's often getting very personal attacks, and that must hurt a little bit.
"I know of a few fans that I've spoken with, and some of these are very long-term Huddersfield fans, who are concerned that if that element of the fanbase continue in the way they are, he might just sell the club, but who's going to buy it?
"Fans need to be careful what they wish for.
"My hope is that fans will ease off a little bit, but also maybe that he can see that by responding, he's sometimes giving the idiots what they want.
"Maybe he should just rise above it for a bit because that might just lower the temperature a bit.
"However, I do have a lot of sympathy for him, and when people are getting personal, it's a natural response to want to defend yourself.
"I think that fans need to leave off, and he needs to maybe just let it go now and again, that would be my advice, but I definitely sympathise."

Nagle has overseen a period of decline during his three-year spell in charge of Huddersfield, and the frequent managerial turnover has been the main source of criticism, with Drury becoming the seventh permanent boss to take charge under his ownership.
However, while Nagle has often got his managerial appointments wrong, he has spent heavily on the squad in recent transfer windows as he looks to lead the Terriers back to the Championship, and he is yet to reap the rewards of the investment he has provided.
Nagle has received praise from some Town fans for his open and honest communication on social media, while others have slammed him for his clashes with supporters, but as discontent continues to grow at the Accu Stadium, the situation could turn toxic if results do not improve next season.
