Even without playing, Lamine Yamal was the talk of the Clasico between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid – but not because of his sporting performance. Instead, Sami Khedira caused a stir with a humorous dig at DAZN
During FC Barcelona’s 2:0 win against Real Madrid, the injured Yamal was shown in the stands after Ferran Torres‘ goal. The 18-year-old cheered along with his team-mates in a striking pink hoodie and extravagant bag
For TV pundit Sami Khedira, this was the perfect opportunity to make a casual comment: „Lamine Yamal likes it. Following in the footsteps of Lennart Karl outfit-wise,“ commented the 2014 world champion dryly on the microphone
The comparison was no coincidence: Bayern youngster Lennart Karl had also recently caused a stir with his eye-catching look. The 18-year-old appeared in the stands of the Allianz Arena dressed completely in pink for the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid and immediately attracted attention
Later, during the celebrations on the pitch, Karl continued his extravagant style – much to the displeasure of Honorary President Uli Hoeneß , who apparently criticized the Bayern youngster internally for his appearance

Khedira now picked up on this moment again at the Clasico with a wink
In sporting terms, Barcelona were once again without their superstar against Real Madrid, with Yamal still suffering from a muscle injury he picked up in April
The Spanish international is likely to be out for the rest of the season, but his participation in the World Cup in the summer is not in jeopardy. Even without the 18-year-old, Barça secured their La Liga title defence with the win against Real
Before his injury, Yamal had another outstanding season, scoring 24 goals and providing 18 assists in 45 competitive matches
The sporting comparison is also interesting: both Yamal and Lennart Karl are regarded as absolute hopes for the future at their clubs
While Yamal has already established himself as a regular and top performer at FC Barcelona, Karl is gradually working his way up to the professional team at FC Bayern
According to Sami Khedira, the two talents already seem to be on the same wavelength, at least in terms of fashion
