Ipswich sign Emersonn in club-record deal | OneFootball

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Brazilian striker Emersonn from Toulouse for a club-record fee believed to be around £24 million plus add-ons.

The 21-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Portman Road, becoming the first Brazilian player in the club's history as Gary O'Neil strengthens his squad ahead of Ipswich's return to the Premier League.

Emersonn arrives after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1, where he scored six goals as Toulouse secured a ninth-place finish. The forward began his career with Athletico Paranaense before an ACL injury temporarily halted his progress. He returned strongly, earning a move to Turkish side Göztepe in early 2025 before joining Toulouse later that year.

The transfer surpasses the previous club-record fees paid for Omari Hutchinson and Jaden Philogene, underlining Ipswich's ambition ahead of the new season.

Emersonn is expected to join his new teammates at the club's pre-season training camp in Spain once his visa formalities have been completed.
