Isaac Schmidt makes permanent Leeds exit in Young Boys move worth around £two million | OneFootball

Isaac Schmidt’s two-year stay at Leeds United has ended, with the full-back set to join Swiss club Young Boys for around £two million today.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the fee will cover his book value, so Leeds will not book a loss on the player.

Schmidt arrived at Elland Road in 2024 from FC St Gallen in a deal worth about £two and a half million.

He did not convince Daniel Farke as a full-back in the Championship title-winning side, and was used mainly as an attacker in rare cameos off the bench.

Last season he joined Werder Bremen on loan in the Bundesliga, but that stint did not lead to a permanent move.
