Leeds United selling Isaac Schmidt to Young Boys for around £2m | OneFootball

Isaac Schmidt’s two-year spell at Leeds United is over, with a permanent move to Young Boys imminent.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Whites are selling the full-back for around £2m, with confirmation expected today.

Schmidt joined in 2024 from FC St Gallen in a £2.5m deal. He did not convince Daniel Farke he could play full-back in the Championship title-winning side, and was used mainly as an attacker during brief cameos.

He spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga, but the spell did not lead to a permanent transfer.

Young Boys have won the race to take him back to his native Switzerland this summer. The fee is sufficient to ensure Leeds do not book a loss on the player.
