Joe Rodon believes new signing Harry Wilson could emerge as a leader at Leeds United after completing a move to Elland Road.
"Knowing H for a number of years, I think he's kind of grown into that leadership role as well, especially with the national team. Just kind of his maturity as well with the game." The defender was speaking to LUTV.
"Everyone's seen him, he's grown massively as a player on the pitch. But off it, I think he has stepped into more of a leadership role."
Wilson joined last week on a free and signed a four-year contract. He arrives off a best Premier League season with Fulham, posting 10 goals and seven assists in 36 matches. He reported for pre-season with fellow Wales internationals Daniel James, Ethan Ampadu and Rodon, while Karl Darlow has departed for Manchester United.
He has around one week to settle before heading to the USA, where Leeds face Wrexham in Tampa next Saturday, then Sunderland and Liverpool in New Jersey and Chicago. After those games, the latter on August 2, they host RB Leipzig on August 8, meet Manchester United in Dublin on August 12 and welcome FC Augsburg three days later.
"It's important to share that with everyone, the Leeds fans are everywhere. It's always good to travel around the world and of course share the brand. Leeds is massive and we're looking forward to it."
