Harry Wilson has joined Leeds United on a free transfer, signing a four-year contract. The 29-year-old left Fulham after his best Premier League campaign of 10 goals and seven assists in 36 matches.
"Knowing H for a number of years, I think he's kind of grown into that leadership role as well, especially with the national team. Just kind of his maturity as well with the game." He told LUTV.
"Everyone's seen him, he's grown massively as a player on the pitch. But off it, I think he has stepped into more of a leadership role."
While Karl Darlow has left for Manchester United, Wilson has linked up with Wales team-mates Daniel James, Ethan Ampadu and Rodon for pre-season testing in West Yorkshire.
He will have around one week to settle before joining the squad on a pre-season tour of the USA. Leeds face Wrexham in Tampa next Saturday, then Sunderland in New Jersey and Liverpool in Chicago on August 2.
"It's important to share that with everyone, the Leeds fans are everywhere. It's always good to travel around the world and of course share the brand. Leeds is massive and we're looking forward to it."
After those games, Leeds host RB Leipzig on August 8 at Elland Road, then face Manchester United in Dublin on August 12 for a potential reunion with Darlow, before hosting FC Augsburg three days later.
