Jordan James has joined Wolverhampton on a season-long loan with an option to buy, with the club recently relegated to the Championship.
According to L'Équipe, Rennes have agreed an option to purchase worth at least €10m for the 22-year-old midfielder, who has made 25 appearances for the French side.
James arrived at Rennes in 2024 from Birmingham and this will be his second consecutive loan.
He spent last season at Leicester in the Championship where, despite a second successive relegation that saw them finish second-bottom, he impressed with 11 goals and 4 assists in 34 matches, ending as their top scorer.
The Wales international has 26 caps and one goal, and is already well acquainted with the second tier.
