Leeds United earn point at Selhurst Park despite sending off

Leeds United had to play the majority of the game with 10 men but still managed to earn a point away to Crystal Palace.
The Eagles struggled to break down AEK Larnaca in Europe and there was no sign of any renewed sharpness in their attack against Leeds this afternoon.
Indeed, Leeds had the best chance of the game by far when they were awarded a penalty just before the break after Will Hughes handballed in the area after a corner.
You'd usually expect Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score from the spot but the striker instead just shanked his effort wide of the left-hand post.
Soon after that, Leeds were down to 10 men. Gabriel Gudmundsson was given a yellow card in first-half stoppage time but it seemed like referee Thomas Bramall had forgotten that he had already shown the Swede a yellow card in the 26th minute. Eventually, Gudmundson left the pitch.
Like in midweek, Oliver Glasner brought on Jean-Philippe Mateta on as the striker recovers from injury.
However it was Jefferson Lerma who thought he may have given the Eagles the win when he bundled the ball home only for it to be ruled out for an offside in the build up from Brennan Johnson.
The visitors will certainly take a point from that game after going down to 10 men but Palace need to rediscover their shooting boots especially with their European trip next week.
