Four Leeds United players will head to the World Cup this summer, with fixtures and UK TV details set.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side completed their first season back in the Premier League with a 3-0 final-day defeat at West Ham. They still finished 14th, eight points clear, and can now plan for a second campaign.
The tournament in the USA, Canada and Mexico begins on Thursday, when Mexico face South Africa in the Group A opener. Leeds are represented by Gabi Gudmundsson with Sweden, Noah Okafor with Switzerland, Ao Tanaka with Japan and Brenden Aaronson with the USA.
Saturday 13 June, 2am, Group D: Brenden Aaronson’s USA v Paraguay. Coverage: BBC One and BBC iPlayer, plus the BBC Sport website.
Saturday 13 June, 8pm, Group B: Qatar v Switzerland, featuring Noah Okafor. Coverage: ITV1, STV, ITVX and the STV Player.
