Leicester’s second successive relegation and the shift to League One finances point to sweeping changes this summer. The squad is set to look very different next season.

According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, a firesale is required to offset reduced TV and sponsorship income, and the current group has been assessed. Here is the proposed keep, sell, loan or release call on 26 permanent players plus five first-teamers out on loan.

Keep: Jakub Stolarczyk, Bade Aluko, Luke Thomas, Hamza Choudhury and Oliver Skipp. Also keep Sammy Braybrooke, Louis Page, Will Alves, Silko Thomas and Jake Evans.

Sell: Fran Vieites, Woyo Coulibaly, Victor Kristiansen, Jannik Vestergaard and Ben Nelson. Also sell Caleb Okoli, Harry Souttar, Wout Faes, Harry Winks, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Abdul Fatawu, Stephy Mavididi and Jeremy Monga.

Loan: Stevie Bausor and Michael Golding, who both need senior minutes.

Release: Asmir Begovic, Ricardo Pereira, Jamaal Lascelles, Wanya Marcal, Jordan Ayew and Patson Daka.
