Real Madrid forward Endrick has officially completed his loan move to Olympique Lyon, a transfer that has attracted significant attention across Europe.
Given the expectations surrounding the young Brazilian and his long-term importance to Real Madrid, every detail of the agreement has been closely analysed since the deal was announced.
In the days leading up to the confirmation of the loan, several reports suggested that Real Madrid had insisted on inserting a special clause into the contract.
According to those claims, the clause would have guaranteed Endrick a minimum amount of playing time at Lyon.
The idea was that Madrid wanted their highly-rated forward to play regularly and continue his development, rather than sit on the bench during a crucial stage of his career.
The reports went even further, stating that the agreement required Endrick to feature in at least 25 matches before June.
If that target was not met, Lyon would supposedly face a financial penalty.
The rumours quickly spread and sparked debate, especially given how carefully Real Madrid tend to manage the growth of their young talents.
However, those claims were firmly rejected by the Ligue 1 club. During Endrick’s official presentation, Lyon’s hierarchy addressed the situation directly and made it clear that no such conditions exist in the loan deal.

Speaking publicly to put an end to the speculation, CEO Michael Gerlinger explained the club’s position.
“Everything that needed to be published has been published with the announcement of the loan.
“We are going to pay a maximum loan fee, period. There is nothing else in the contract.”
That message was reinforced by Lyon’s sporting director Matthieu Louis-Jean, who went a step further by addressing concerns about Endrick’s role on the pitch.
Confident in the club’s sporting plan, he offered a remark that quickly reassured everyone.
“Don’t worry, he will play 25 matches… or more.”
For Real Madrid, the focus remains on Endrick’s long-term progression. The club secured his signature back in 2022, when he was just 16 years old, agreeing to a deal worth a fixed €35 million plus €25 million in performance-based variables.
This commitment, followed by the loan exit, is seen as a strategic move for his development.
