Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, is playing at a sixth World Cup, with the 2030 edition due to arrive in Portugal alongside Spain and Morocco. Louis Saha believes he could still feature then.
Speaking to Goal.com, former Manchester United team-mate Louis Saha said: "That's the problem, I think at some point he has to stop because he's clearly a human. But yes, he's playing like a robot."
He added: "Cristiano doesn't ask. He doesn't ask for help. He's saying, ‘I'm fit enough, I'm as good, I am like 35 years old, so I'm going to score with your support or not’."
Saha also remarked: "He may have run 1,000 marathons now! It's crazy."
Ronaldo has savoured Saudi Pro League title success with Al Nassr in 2025-26 and has already collected a couple of Golden Boots in the Middle East. He has 12 months left on his contract and could extend as he chases 1,000 competitive goals and the chance to play alongside Cristiano Jr.
Already the most-capped and highest-scoring player in men’s international football, he has vowed to answer Portugal’s calls. World Cup glory still eludes him and, with a last-16 meeting with Spain looming in 2026, another near miss could keep the 2030 dream alive on home soil.
