Luis de la Fuente is set to remain Spain head coach until 2030, adding two years to a deal that had run to Euro 2028 in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

Sport reports that only administrative steps remain before confirmation, with negotiations positive and relations strong.

RFEF president Rafael Louzán, speaking at the World Football Summit, praised him as Spain’s best ever and said a longer stay is being finalised.
