Maitland-Niles back in Lyon squad for Angers trip as Kluivert and Nuamah wait | OneFootball

According to Le Progres, Paulo Fonseca has named a 21-man Lyon squad for the trip to Angers, with Ainsley Maitland-Niles back after an adductor injury.

The English defender was hurt against Lens in the Coupe de France. He has trained with the group in recent days and is available.

Whether he starts ahead of Hans Hateboer remains to be seen. Ruben Kluivert remains out after a hamstring problem and could rejoin the group next week, as could Ernest Nuamah, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament rupture a year ago.

It is a deeper group despite the ankle absences of Malick Fofana, who has had a plate removed, and Rémi Himbert. Fonseca now has more options.

Nicolas Tagliafico is suspended. Adil Hamdani should play for the U18s in the Gambardella Cup against Rennes.
