Around 800 Lyon supporters will travel to Angers, where their movement will be restricted by local authorities.
According to Le Progres, the prefect of Maine-et-Loire has issued an order limiting travel and circulation in Angers city centre and around Stade Raymond-Kopa for anyone identifying as an Olympique Lyonnais supporter.
The decree anticipates 800 visiting fans, including 350 to 400 ultras, and highlights the stadium’s configuration, which could bring Angers ultras and away supporters into close proximity, raising the risk of tensions or confrontations.
Lyon have been strongly backed on the road this season whenever prefectures have not imposed travel bans.
The away contingent will be grouped in the visitors’ section at Stade Raymond-Kopa and will be supervised in line with the order.
