Olympique de Marseille manager Habib Beye has reportedly been proposed to AS Monaco, according to La Provence.
Having failed to deliver the expected results – having been knocked out of the Coupe de France and with his team potentially missing out on European qualification next season – the Senegalese manager is not expected to remain in charge at OM beyond June.
Keen to continue coaching, Beye is said to have been put forward to the principality club by his agents. For whilst Sébastien Pocognoli remains the manager, there is currently no guarantee of his future there, and the Belgian’s departure from Monaco cannot be ruled out. Which would represent a golden opportunity for Beye, who is hoping to bounce back after two consecutive setbacks. In the south of France… or in the north, as his name has also recently been linked with Paris FC.
Having arrived from Stade Rennais in the winter, Beye has won just five of his twelve matches (one draw, six defeats) at the helm of Marseille since taking over from Roberto De Zerbi.
