Mattéo Guendouzi faces a ban of between one and three matches for his conduct after Fenerbahçe’s win at OL. According to L'Équipe, UEFA will open a disciplinary case, likely on Friday, over the incidents at full time.

Guendouzi stuck out his tongue while gesturing towards his genitals, repeatedly made the hand sign associated with Marseille rapper Jul, shouted support for OM, directed crude remarks at some spectators’ mothers and performed a few swaying jumps in front of a side stand.

Lyon goalkeeping coach Antonio Ferreira also risks suspension after attempting to lunge at Guendouzi by the tunnel. If UEFA applies sub-clause E, assault on a player or another person present, he could receive three matches. If it instead applies sub-clause G, serious assault, the ban could be up to five, and he is expected to face an internal sanction in the meantime.
