Nnamdi Collins needs ankle surgery and is unlikely to play again for Eintracht Frankfurt this season.
According to BuLi News, the 22-year-old injured his ankle against Mainz before the international break, and head coach Albert Riera said on Friday he is set for surgery.
Riera said it would be difficult for Collins to appear in the remaining games, adding that while a miracle might happen, surgery is required and a return this season would be very difficult.
Rasmus Kristensen, Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and goalkeeper Kauã Santos are also unavailable for Sunday’s Bundesliga match against 1. FC Köln.
Collins remains sidelined as he awaits the operation.
