Nuno Tavares has wiped Lazio-related content from his Instagram, a move that comes amid continued links to Porto.

La Lazio Siamo Noi reported that the 26-year-old has removed all posts connected to the club, a gesture interpreted by some as dissatisfaction or a message to suitors.

The Portuguese international joined from Arsenal in summer 2024 and started strongly before injuries interrupted him. He was dropped by Maurizio Sarri after costly errors last season, then later recalled.

This summer Lazio signed Alfonso Pedraza on a free. The 30-year-old has impressed in pre-season, and Gennaro Gattuso has favoured him while Tavares deals with another muscle issue. Many now wonder if Lazio will cash in on the Lisbon native.

Porto have been linked several times this summer and are thought to be keeping an eye on developments. There have also been rumours of a swap involving AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, though no serious talks have begun.

Lazio are expected to move on either Tavares or Luca Pellegrini before the window closes, as carrying three left-backs is seen as unsustainable after missing out on Europe. Pellegrini had been viewed as the likelier departure with his deal up next year, but selling Tavares could bring in €15-20 million, with Arsenal due 35% of any fee.
