Lazio ‘to weigh’ move for Milan’s out-of-favour Tomori, Tavares floated in swap | OneFootball

According to Il Messaggero, Lazio are weighing a surprise move for Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori to bolster Gennaro Gattuso’s defence, a deal that would continue recent business between the clubs.

After talks over Mario Gila, who has been targeted by Milan, a Rossoneri player could now head the other way to Rome. Milan are said to be open, although any move is likely to take shape only late in the window.

There are no firm details on the formula yet, but Nuno Tavares, admired by Milan and viewed as expendable by Lazio, could be included. Forty per cent of any Tavares sale would go to Arsenal due to a sell-on clause from his move.

Tomori, an England international, has fallen out of Rúben Amorim’s plans at Milan. Owner Gerry Cardinale confirmed at a recent summit that the defender is no longer part of the project.
