Real Sociedad won 3-2 at Martínez Valero, with Job Ochieng outstanding. The forward produced a goal and two assists.
According to Diario Vasco, Beñat Barreto gave Ochieng a maximum five, with the scores counting towards the DV de Oro, now in its 41st year.
Igor Zubeldia also received five after a dominant defensive display, including reading a two-on-one in the third minute. Unai Marrero, starting for the first time since May, made fine stops at 2-2 then produced a superb late save from Niño to secure the points.
Carlos Soler earned five, threading passes that opened Elche repeatedly and starting the move for the decisive 2-3, a sequence that ended with Ochieng laying off for Luka Sucic to finish. Sucic impressed and finished with his left.
Yangel Herrera, rated four, covered ground and struck first time for one of the goals, with Dituro aiding the finish. Gonçalo Guedes, on his first start of the season, threatened without a finish.
Jon Mikel Aramburu saw an early booking, blocked Lemar bravely and was caught on the offside line in the 79th minute. Debutant Mamadou Sarr started on the left, erred once under pressure, then defended with assurance.
From the bench, Jon Pacheco impressed with key clearances as Real Sociedad finished with 10.
Head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo made six changes, starting Marrero and backing Ochieng. He withdrew Alex Marchal after 2-2 to introduce Héctor Fort, a tough call that paid off.
