Official: RB Leipzig's Peter Gulácsi completes Villarreal move | OneFootball

RB Leipzig have announced this evening, Monday 3 August, that Peter Gulácsi has transferred to Villarreal CF.

Although an official price was not made public, Leipzig will reportedly receive a transfer fee of €2million from the La Liga side.

The Bundesliga club already has a replacement lined up in Örjan Nyland, who returns to Leipzig on a free transfer after his stint at Sevilla.

“After eleven years, this farewell is really not easy for me," said Gulácsi in an emotional farewell video posted on social media.

"RB Leipzig was never just a club for me. Leipzig has become our second home, and the people here will always have a special place in my heart and ours.”
