OL v Rennes: Fonseca confirms Abner to start ahead of Tagliafico | OneFootball

Paulo Fonseca has confirmed Abner will start ahead of Nicolas Tagliafico when OL face Rennes.

According to Le Progres, Tagliafico, a World Cup winner, served a three-match suspension and has not started since 22 March. He was sent off against Monaco on that date, three days after another red card against Celta de Vigo.

Fonseca said he cannot select everyone and, with Vinicius Abner in strong form, the player deserves to play.

The coach was unhappy with that indiscipline but maintains he still counts on Tagliafico, stressing the team need his experience.

The decision comes ahead of OL’s meeting with Rennes.
