Phillips converts as St Mirren stay perfect | OneFootball

St Mirren beat St Johnstone 1-0 in Paisley to make it two wins from two and stay top of the Scottish Premiership.

After the restart, St Johnstone won a penalty in the 46th minute for a handball by Alexandros Gogic. VAR confirmed the spot kick.

Jacob Chapman then saved Jamie Gullan's effort low to his right (49.).

Marcus Fraser went off injured and was replaced by Liam Donnelly (51.).

At the other end, Samuel Ramos drew a penalty after Toby Steward fouled him (72.). Killian Phillips converted into the bottom left (73.).

In the closing stages, Steward denied Jake Young and Roland Idowu, but St Mirren saw it out for a second straight clean sheet.

Phillips now has three Premiership goals, first in the scoring chart.
