Barcelona’s recent draw with Getafe was another reminder that the club have a mountain to climb as far as the league is concerned.

That said, Barça have started their Copa Del Rey campaign phenomenally well. In the Round of 32 clash, the club comfortably beat Barbastro 4-0, which was followed by a 5-1 win over Real Betis in the Round of 16.

Thanks to these triumphs, Barcelona have now reached the quarterfinal stage, where they could potentially face a much tougher opponent.

Barcelona’s potential opponents in quarterfinals

The draw for the quarterfinals, scheduled for tomorrow at the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s headquarters in Las Rozas at 1:00 pm, will determine who Barcelona will face next.

The list of potential adversaries includes Valencia, who are already known for their resilience in cup competitions.

Leganes are a team capable of causing upsets while Barça may also face Getafe, whose defensive tactics saw the Catalans drop two crucial points over the weekend.

Atletico Madrid are another strong opponent Barcelona could face in the quarterfinal stage, especially now that Diego Simeone’s men have picked up form.

Other potential opponents include Osasuna and Real Sociedad, two teams who can easily cause upsets and secure a berth in the semis.

Osasuna were notably the first team in La Liga to defeat Hansi Flick’s Barcelona this season, securing a comfortable 4-2 victory back in September.

However, it is Real Madrid who could be the most challenging opponent for Barcelona in the quarterfinal stage.

This is despite the fact that Flick’s Barça have performed exceptionally well against Los Blancos this season, beating them comfortably in the league before securing the Spanish Super Cup title earlier in the month.
